Motorbike blast in north Syria’s Afrin leaves injuries

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Three people were wounded on Thursday as an initial outcome due to a motorbike explosion in Rajo street in the city of Afrin north of Aleppo Governorate.

A local source told North Press that “a motorbike which was parked in Rajo street in the city, exploded. Three people sustained various injuries and were taken to the city’s hospital.”

“The explosion caused material damage,” the source added.

The city of Afrin and its countryside have been under the control of Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, known as Syrian National Army (SNA), since March 2018, following a military operation by Turkey that caused the displacement of more than 300.000 residents of the area, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The SNA-held areas live in a state of security chaos represented in repeated infighting and murders, amid the factions’ inability to it under control.
