Unknown flight hits pro-Iranian militias’ posts in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unknown flight targeted on Tuesday, with three airstrikes, two posts of Iranian-back Liwa al-Quds in the town of Abbas, 100 km east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A military source of Liwa al-Quds said unknown flight targeted a military post for logistic supplies of Liwa al-Quds, close al-Ahmadiya neighborhood, in central Abbas.
As a result, significant material damage was reported.
The source told North Press that the flight, later, bombed a cargo car that was parked near the town’s mountains.
It stressed the car was empty and had been parked for two days due to a malfunction.
The Iranian-back militias evacuated their posts in Abbas and its neighborhoods and hid in civilians’ houses, in anticipation of airstrikes, according to the source.
The Syrian government forces and Iranian-backed militias run vast swathes of the Syrian Desert that has recently witnessed several battles between the government forces and Iranian militias on one hand and the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) on the other.
On Wednesday, unknown flight targeted the town of Abbas, with two missiles that fell on farming land, without reporting damages.
