Turkish drone targets Syria’s Ain Issa, 2 civilians killed

AIN ISSA, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone targeted on Tuesday night the countryside of the town of Ain Issa, north of Raqqa, a governorate in northern Syria, killing two civilians and injuring others.

An eyewitness from the area said that late on Tuesday night, Turkish forces targeted civilians’ houses in the village of al-Suwaydiyah, in the northern countryside of Ain Issa, by drones, causing casualties and material damage to civilians’ property.

The targeting claimed the lives of Khaled Hanifa and Bashar Barakat, and injured Sabri Sido,20, Aziz Zeidan, 32, and Rashid Zeidan, 42.

On September 9, an individual lost his life in a Turkish shelling of the countryside of Ain Issa.

Ain Issa and other areas in northern Syria have recently witnessed military escalation by the Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA).
