Turkish shelling targets northern countryside of Syria’s Hasakah
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces shelled on Sunday villages and towns north of Hasakah Governorate in northeastern Syria with mortars and artilleries causing material damage.
Following two months of calmness, the Turkish forces shelled at 9:30 am the village of Jernek in the west of the town of Amuda, west of Qamishli, with three mortar shells; an exclusive source told North Press.
Also, the Turkish forces targeted the village of al-Aboush, al-Tawila and Tel Tawil in the countryside of the town of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah with heavy weapons, another source said.
The town of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), north of Hasakah, was also subjected to Turkish shells.
The shelling caused material damage, without reports on casualties.
On Sunday morning, the Turkish forces shelled a village in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northeast of Aleppo, inuring civilians.
