HTS launches 3 attacks in Syria’s northwest –Khmeimim 

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria in Khmeimim Air Base announced on Sunday evening that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) launched three attacks in Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria.

Oleg Yegorov, Deputy Chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation said that HTS militants launched three missile attacks in the de-escalation zone in Idlib.  

On September 8, the Russian Reconciliation Center said that the Russian Air Force destroyed a camp for “terrorists” in the Sheikh Youssef area of Idlib, northwest Syria, killing more than 120 militants

On the same day, seven people were killed and 12 others were wounded in Russian airstrike on villages and towns of the northern countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria.

On September 7, the Center said that the HTS killed a soldier of Syrian government forces and wounded another in Idlib.

De-escalation zone in northwestern Syria continues to witness daily exchange of bombardment between Syrian government forces and opposition factions despite being part of the ceasefire agreement signed between Russia and Turkey in March 2020, which stipulates a halt of military action in Idlib.
