SNA faction leader survives assassination attempt in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, a leader of a Turkish-backed armed opposition faction, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), survived an assassination attempt in a camp nearby the town of Qah, on Syrian-Turkish border, north of Idlib Governorate, in northwest Syria. 

A military source of the National Front for Liberation, told North Press that unknown people planted an explosive device (IED) in the car of Ramoud Abu al-Yaman, a leader of Army of Victory (Jaysh al-Nasr) faction, affiliated with the National Front for Liberation.

The IED exploded a few minutes before the leader get in his car that was in front of his house in Nour Halab camp, nearby Qah, according to a source.

The areas held by Turkish forces and their affiliated SNA factions, witness security chaos, including arrests, kidnappings, thefts and successive murders in light of the factions’ disability to maintain security.
