It stressed the need to held Israel accountable for these aggressions.

It added that the recent Israeli escalation “poses a threat on the peace and security in the region, endangering and intimidating civilians, along with threatening the safety of civil aviation in Syria and the region,” according the state-run SANA News Agency.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that Syria will practice “its legitimate right to defend its land and people by all means,” thus Israel is held accountable.

Days after rehabilitation operations were finished in Aleppo International Airport, following an Israeli airstrike on August 31, it was targeted again on September 6, causing it to be out of service.
