Syria’s Autonomous Administration records increasing coronavirus cases

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) recorded 33 new infections of coronavirus.

The Health Board posted on its official Facebook account that the infections are 19 males and 14 females.

The infections are distributed as follows: 9 in Qamishli, 8 in Hasakah, 5 each in Derik and Kobani, 1 in Derbasiyah and 5 in Raqqa.

An official at Covid-19 (Jiyan) hospital in the city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria, Hoshmin Aqil, said in early August they announced the state of alert due to the increasing numbers of coronavirus infections.

The total number of coronavirus infections in the AANES-held areas reached 39.080 confirmed cases, 1.578 deaths and 2.575 recovery cases.
