Shells land on US-led Coalition base in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, several rocket shells landed on the Conoco base of the US-led Global Coalition to defeat ISIS, north of Deir ez-Zor, prompting the latter to respond by shelling the sites whence the rockets were launched.
An exclusive source told North Press, “Several shells fell on the Conoco base. They came from the Iranian-backed militias stationed in the village of Hatlah.”
“The Coalition forces, using artillery, responded by shelling the places where the rockets were launched,” he added.
The source stated that the Coalition warplanes conducted frequent flight over the areas controlled by the Syrian government and Iranian militias.
