Turkey adopts hostile methods in northern Syria –Syrian parties

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Political parties operating in the city of Raqqa, northern Syria, said on Tuesday that Turkey adopts aggressive methods after its failure to launch a new military operation on northern Syria.  

This came in a statement in which the parties condemned the Turkish escalation in the area.  

“The Turkish escalation raises terror among the residents of the area which is more than 40 km from the Turkish border,” the statement read.

The parties pointed out that the continuous Turkish escalation “intends to empty northern Syria’s regions in line with Turkish policy in Syria.  

The parties adopt the official position of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which rejects the Turkish escalation and shows readiness to resist with accordance to the legitimate right of self-defense.

The political parties called on international bodies, led by UN Security Council, to take quick procedures to reduce the Turkish escalation towards the Autonomous Administration areas.

Syrian government and its active forces must assume responsibilities against Turkish aggression and protecting the border, the statement stressed.
