Government forces evacuate soldiers’ bodies killed in Turkish shelling in Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Syrian government forces evacuated the bodies of two of their soldiers killed in a Turkish air raid on their post in the countryside of the city of Kobani northern Syria.
Earlier on Tuesday, Turkish warplanes targeted a post of the government forces in the village of Jareqli, 20 km west of Kobani.
An eyewitness told North Press that the government forces evacuated the bodies of their soldiers who killed in the Turkish shelling from the border post with Turkey.
Six wounded were hospitalized to Kobani for treatment, the eyewitness said.
Another eyewitness told North Press that 22 soldiers of the government forces were killed in a nine-air raid by Turkish forces.
Syria’s state-run news agency SANA announced the killing of only three soldiers and the injury of six.
In the early morning, the city of Kobani and its countryside were subjected to shelling by the Turkish forces, which have claimed the lives of civilians, including women and children.
