Government forces target Turkish base in Syria’s Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Syrian government forces targeted a Turkish base located in the northern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria.
The government forces stationed in Infantry School in Aleppo targeted the Turkish base in the vicinity of the village of Dabiq with several missiles, an exclusive source told North Press.
They also targeted the village of al-Ghuz, near the base, causing only material loss, the source added.
The bombing was accompanied by flight by Russian reconnaissance aircrafts over the area, according to the source.
The government forces also hit a military checkpoint belonging to the Turkish-backed al-Mu’tasim Division in Dabiq, reporting only material losses, according to the same source.
All frontlines in conflict zones in Syria are witnessing military escalation, as Turkish forces escalate of their attacks on areas in northern Syria, following its threats of launching a military operation against the region.
Since May 23 Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced plans to carry out a major military cross-border incursion into northern Syria. As he specified his targets in the two northern Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat.
