Turkish forces shell village north of Syria’s Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and their affiliated armed Syrian opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), shelled on Saturday the countryside of Tel Tamr, a town in the northern countryside of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
A source of the Tel Tamr Military Council, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), told North Press, “The Turkish forces targeted this evening with heavy artillery the village of Sheikh Ali, north of Tel Tamr.”
The shelling resulted in material damage to civilian’s properties, but no information about casualties was received, the source said.
The Turkish artillery shelled on Friday the village, resulting in the injury of two soldiers of the Syrian government forces.
The Turkish forces shelled on Saturday morning the villages of al-Gozaliya and Tel al-Laban west of Tel Tamr.
As a result, material losses were reported.
