SDF declares death toll of Turkish shelling of NE Syria’s Qamishli 

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Four members of Self-Defense Forces (compulsory recruitment) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) lost their lives and three others were wounded in a drone strike by Turkish forces in the city of Qamishli in northeast Syria, the Media Center of the SDF said on Tuesday.   

Since Monday, the countryside of Derbasiyah, Amuda, Qamishli and al-Qahtaniya (Terbe Spiyeh) in northeast Syria on the border with Turkey has been witnessing military escalation by Turkey.

The goal of the escalation is to spread horror, panic and instability among the civilians, the SDF added.

The SDF Media Center pointed out that they will disclose the names of the victims later.

Today’s escalation resulted in the injury of seven civilians who were hospitalized at al-Hikmah, according to a medical source.
