Syria’s northeast records 59 new coronavirus infections
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) recorded on Saturday 59 new infections of coronavirus.
The Health Board posted on its official Facebook account that the infections are distributed between 33 males and 26 females.
The infections are as follow: 26 in Qamishli, 13 in Derik (al-Malikiyah), eight in Kobani, six in Hasakah, three in Amuda, two in Derbasiyah, and one in Raqqa.
Last week, the AANES Health Board recorded 44 new coronavirus infections.
The week before, it recorded 51 cases.
The total number of the coronavirus infections in the AANES-held areas reached 38.796 cases.
Also, the Health Board recorded a recovery case for a man from Derik, so that the numbers of recoveries reached 2.567.
The total number of deaths reached 1.578.
