NE Syria’s Asayish finds ISIS trenches in Hawl Camp

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) found on Wednesday secret trenches in Hawl Camp, northeastern Syria, used by members of the Islamic State (ISIS) to hide and plot their attacks.

In a statement published on its official website, the Asayish said that it had obtained information about the hiding spots of organization’s militants in the camp.

The Asayish said that ISIS militants were using these trenches to disappear after committing their crimes inside the camp.

The statement added that the trenches were filled after no one was found in them.

In December 2021, the Asayish found a secret tunnel in the camp used by the ISIS children, also known as “Cubs of the Caliphate”, to hide from inspections and take Sharia lessons.
