NE Syria’s Asayish arrests 8 people involved with Turkish intelligence

Qamishli, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Monday that it had arrested eight people in northeast Syria, involved in working with the Turkish intelligence.

“After conducting a thorough investigation, we obtained evidence that incriminated people of being involved with the Turkish intelligence,” said the Asayish in a statement published on its official website.

The statement did not specify the place of arrest.

The eight detainees were involved in targeting several military centers, posts and checkpoints, the statement added.

It noted that they caused the killing of the leader in the Kobani Military Council, Diller, the leader of the Ain Issa Military Council, Mizgin Kobani, and many other military personnel.

According to the website, the eight people are: Ahmad Muhammad Ibrahim, Abd Ismail Issa, Yasser Khalil Muhammad, Bakri Muhammad Issa, Ismail Muhammad Ibrahim, Hussein Ahmad Muhammad, Ahmad Mahmoud Khalaf, Shams ad-Din Rashid Qassem.

It stated that their confessions would be released later.
