Aleppo eastern countryside witnesses protests against Turkish-backed SNA

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Dozens of displaced people from Deir ez-Zor Governorate organized a protest in the city of al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, after the arrest of a man and two women by members of the Turkish-backed Hamza Division, affiliated with the Syrian National Army (SNA), in the town of Bza’a, east of Aleppo.

The protesters denounced the arbitrary manner in which the arrest of the man and two women was carried out, amid military tension between them and Hamza Division in the city of al-Bab and the town of Bza’a, east of Aleppo, an eyewitness told North Press.

The arrest took place after a dispute between an IDP from Deir ez-Zor and his neighbor, a member of the Hamza Division, in the town of Bza’a, the eyewitness added.

The source indicated that there was shooting near the center roundabout in the city of al-Bab by the IDPs of Deir ez-Zor, amid local demands for the intervention of local authorities to resolve the conflict between the two parties, according to the eyewitness.

Hamza Division released the women and kept the man in its headquarters in the city of al-Bab, the eyewitness said.

Since 2017, the city of al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo has been under the control of the Turkish-backed opposition factions.

An elderly man and his wife were beaten on Saturday by members of the Turkish-backed Hamza Division in the village of Ghaytun in the countryside of Akhtarinin Aleppo northern countryside.

The SNA-held areas undergo security chaos, including explosions, persistent fighting between the factions and assassinations in light of the factions’ failure to maintain security there.
