ISIS claims attack against SDF in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Islamic State (ISIS) took responsibility on Saturday for targeting a vehicle of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a town west of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

The targeting led two SDF fighters to lose their lives.

The ISIS-run Amaq news agency reported that the ISIS militants detonated a four-wheel vehicle with an IED in the town of al-Hussan, 20 km west of Deir ez-Zor.

The explosion led to the destruction of the vehicle and the killing of those inside, according to Amaq news agency.

The countryside of Deir ez-Zor witnesses a spike in assassinations, targeting SDF fighters, employees of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), tribal leaders and civilians, despite the intensive security operations launched by the SDF.

On Saturday morning, ISIS claimed responsibility for targeting a fighter of the SDF in the town of al-Busayrah east of Deir ez-Zor.
