QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A spokesman for the Russian forces in Syria said on Wednesday that they had blown up two drones that had targeted the Russian Khmeimim Air Base in western Syria.
“The Russian air defense systems shot down two drones near the Russian Khmeimim Air Base,” the spokesman said, without specifying the date of the attack.
He attributed the attack to “armed groups”, noting that these groups repeatedly attempt to attack the base using drones.
He said that the base is operating normally, adding that there were no casualties or material damage as a result of the assault.
