Turkish artillery targets Syrian military column in Aleppo

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Using artillery, Turkish bases in the vicinity of the town of Marea in Aleppo northern countryside targeted on Sunday a military column of Syrian government forces on the road between the villages of Herbel and Ahras, south of the town, according to special sources.

It is not clear yet whether the Turkish shelling caused losses to the government’s convoy or not.

On Sunday, military reinforcements of the Syrian government forces arrived in the city of Manbij for the second day in a row through al-Tayha crossing, southwest of the city in northern Syria.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Mazloum Abdi said in a press conference on July 15, “We accepted the Syrian Army to reinforce its positions in Kobani, Manbij and border areas in order to carry out its task in protecting the Syrian border, and we will do what is needed to avoid war against our areas.”
