SNA casualties reported in government shelling of Syria’s Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The de-escalation zone in northwest Syria continued to witness on Monday mutual shelling and military escalation between the government forces and Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions.
A member of the Turkish-backed factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), was killed and three others were wounded in shelling by the Syrian government forces on the opposition posts in the western countryside of Aleppo.
The government forces targeted the opposition’s fortifications in Kafr Amma area in Aleppo western countryside, military sources told North Press.
Meanwhile, al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations’ Room targeted the government forces’ posts in the eastern countryside of Idlib.
The government forces also bombed the opposition’s posts in the towns of Benin and Felifel in al-Zawiya Mountain in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Areas in the de-escalation zone in the northwestern Syria continue to witness daily bombardment between the Turkish-backed SNA factions and the government forces.
Although the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria is subjected to a Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement signed in March 2020, the area witnesses frequent mutual bombardment despite the entry of the ceasefire into force.
