Turkish president renews his threats to launch military operation in northern Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – In a speech after charring a government meeting, at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan renewed on Monday his threats to launch a new military operation in northern Syria.
“We are determined to carry out a new military operation in northern Syria to achieve the security of our borders,” Erdogan said.
“We will start a new operation in Syria as soon as the armed forces complete their readiness and preparations,” he added.
On May 23, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to launch a new military operation in Syria to secure Turkey’s southern border.
Since Erdogan launched his threats to launch a military operation, the Turkish forces and their affiliation opposition SNA factions have intensified their bombing of several areas in north and northeastern Syria.
