Attack on SDF-affiliated group causes 3 deaths, 4 injuries

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) — Three members of al-Sanadid forces were killed and four others injured due to an armed attack near the Iraqi-Syrian border.

Al-Sanadid is an armed faction affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Most of its members are from the Arab Shammar tribe. The group is active in al-Ya’rubiyah (Tal Kocher) and Jaza’a areas, near the Iraqi-Syrian border.

A military source told North Press that gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire at a vehicle carrying fighters of the group, but no additional information was received about the attack.

The source said that two of the fighters lost their lives during the shooting, and the third died of severe injuries, while four others were injured and taken to the hospital.
