QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Wednesday the arrest of four individuals, who smoke substance abuse and promote drugs among residents of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
The Asayish said, in a security statement, that the four drug dealers confessed their practices after subjecting them to an investigation.
The Asayish said on its official account that on June 20, combating crime forces, affiliated with the Asayish, arrested them on charges of drug trading.
“The four individuals were arrested on charges of drug trading during a well-executed ambush after gathering evidence proving their involvement,” the statement read.
During inspection, the combating crime forces found “411 Captagon pills, 90 Inditro piles, 13 grams of grinded Captagon, a Kalashnikov, a military quiver, a bombshell weapon, and a pistol,” according to the security statement.
The four individuals were referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to receive their penalties in accordance with the provisions of the law, according to the Asayish.
