SDF arrests ISIS local leader in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – With the support of the Global Coalition forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested a leader of ISIS in the town of al-Hijnah, east of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
“The anti-terror units, with the support of the Global Coalition forces, carried out a security operation in the town of al-Hijnah, targeting a local leader of ISIS who was responsible for transporting and smuggling ISIS cell members,” the official website of the SDF said.
“Based on precise intelligence information, our forces raided the house of the terrorist, arrested him, and confiscated weapons, equipment, and documents proving his involvement with ISIS cells,” it added.
“Our Counter-terrorism operations continue in the region by the SDF and the International Coalition to ensure the enduring defeat of ISIS and maintain the safety and security of the region,” according to the SDF website.
