Turkish artillery shells villages in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, also known as Syria National Army (SNA), shelled on Saturday the northern countryside of Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria.

The Turkish forces and the SNA factions shelled the town of Zirgan (Abu Rasin) and the villages of Tel al-Ward and Rabi’at in the town’s southern countryside, north of Hasakah, a military source told North Press.

On Friday midnight, the Turkish artillery fired the village of al-Tawila, west of the town of Tel Tamr, 35 km north of Hasakah with a barrage of shells, causing material damage, the source added.

On June 7, the Turkish forces and its backed SNA factions shelled the village of al-Tawila which is located on contact lines after it had witnessed relative calm lasted for two days.
