Future Syria Party warns of humanitarian catastrophe caused by Turkish threats
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The Future Syria Party denounced on Wednesday the international community silence towards the Turkish threats, holding it accountable for any new tragedy could happen to Syrians.
In a statement, the party warned of a new wave of displacement that Afrin IDPs, who reside in Aleppo northern countryside, would face.
“We are taking another step in establishing a 30km security zone along our southern border. We will clean up Tel Rifaat and Manbij of terrorists,” Erdogan told a meeting of his ruling party in parliament on June 1.
“What is happening in Afrin and other areas controlled by Turkey and its affiliated opposition SNA factions amounts to be a genocide. Turkey aims to change the demography of the region and eliminate the Syrians in these areas,” the statement added.
The statement explained that Turkey , through its threats which happen before the guarantor countries, namely the US and Russia, aims to annex more parts of Syria and displace Syrians. This is something not new, as the Ottoman Empire did previous massacres, in reference to the massacres of the Armenians more than a century ago.
The party reiterated resorting to the resistance in the face of the dangerous epidemic Mongolian plague, according to the statement.
Following the Turkish “Olive Branch” operation in 2018, through which Turkey occupied Afrin region, the Afrin inhabitants fled their homes and resorted to Shahba region (Aleppo northern countryside) which includes about 40 villages and five camps and is controlled by Syrian government and Russian forces
