Landmine blast killed two brothers and injured two girls in Syria’s Manbij
Manbij, Syria (North Press) – Two brothers lost their lives and two girls were wounded on Sunday in a blast of a landmine left behind by ISIS in the vicinity of the village of Awn al-Dadat, north of the city of Manbij, north of Aleppo.
“Both Omar Asaad al-Abdullah (7 years old) and his brother Abdullah Asaad al- Abdullah (8 years old) lost their lives and two girls, Aisha al Abdullah (8 years old) and Ruqia Al Abdullah 6, were injured, an informed source from the village told North Press.
“The mine exploded in the children while grazing sheep near the village,” the source said.
The two girls were transported to the Manbij Hospital, and they are in good condition, according to the hospital’s medical staff.
Improvised mines, other types of explosive devices, and remnants of war pose a significant threat to civilians and hinder recovery in other places that were under ISIS control, such as Kobani, Raqqa, Manbij and other places in Syria.
On November 12, 2021, a man lost his life in the village of Qirt Wiran, northwest of Manbij, when a landmine left behind by ISIS exploded while plowing his land.
