Turkish-backed opposition members attack journalists north of Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Members of the Turkish-backed Sham Legion faction attacked, on Wednesday at midnight, journalists and photographers while covering the evacuation of camp’ residents near a site of an ammunition depot blast in a town north of Idlib.

The ammunition depot in Idlib, located near the IDP camps, belonging to the Sham Legion faction exploded at 11:30 pm on Wednesday near the town of Babisqa on the Syrian-Turkish border on the northern outskirts of Idlib.

Casualties were reported, including a girl, as shrapnel from the explosion struck the neighboring camps.

Activists in Idlib told North Press that members of the security forces of Sham Legion attacked several journalists and media professionals while they were covering the evacuation of residents from the area near the site of the explosion.
