SDF arrests three ISIS members in Syria’s Raqqa – Coalition

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the support of the US-led Global Coalition, arrested on Thursday three members of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in a series of successful operations in north Syria.

A military source of the US-led Global Coalition told North Press that the SDF and the Global Coalition, for the second night in a row, conducted a series of successful operations against ISIS sleeper cells one near the city of Jezrah in the western countryside of Raqqa and another in the city of Raqqa.

“The SDF captured a total of three ISIS members who were part of cells responsible for bomb manufacturing and weapons smuggling,” the military source said.

The source stressed that the SDF continues to take security measures to guarantee safety of innocent civilians during these military operations.

“The SDF showcase their resolve to provide safety and security to the people of Syria while ridding the land of the malicious influence of ISIS,” the source added.

“The SDF have had continued success in capturing these nefarious individuals and show no signs of slowing their operations,” according to the source.

It added, saying “ISIS is running out of places to hide and they are finding out that the people of Syria will not rest until their filth is removed entirely.”

On May 25, the SDF conducted a successful operation against an ISIS sleeper cell near the city of Hajin in eastern Syria, and arrested an ISIS member responsible for assassinations.
