Turkish forces bomb two villages in Hasakah northern countryside in NE Syria
TEL TAMET, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces bombed on Wednesday evening two villages, north of Hasakah, northeast Syria, with heavy weapons.
Turkish forces bombed the villages of al-Boubi and Dada Abdel, north of the town of Zarkan (Abu Rasin), in the northern countryside of Hasakah, with more than 15 artillery shells and mortars, a local source told North Press.
The shelling resulted in material damage, according to the source.
Following the Turkish invasion of the cities of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Abyad in October 2019, Turkey signed a ceasefire agreement with the Russian and American sides.
Since the beginning of April most villages in the town of Zarkan have witnessed intense Turkish bombardment, leading to a large wave of displacement and damage to the residents’ property.
