Turkish forces shell Manbij countryside east of Aleppo

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces shelled on Friday a village east of the city of Manbij in the eastern countryside of Aleppo governorate.

A source from Manbij Military Council of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that the Turkish forces fired artillery shells at the village of al-Hoshariya.

The forces fired from their base in the village of Qirata.

Since May 12, the Turkish forces have targeted several villages in the countryside of Manbij and Kobani. This escalation is considered the first of its kind in months.

On Thursday, the Council announced that during the last six months, the Turkish shelling caused the injury of 13 civilians including women and children.
