Russian jets hit Turkish-backed SNA positions in Syria’s Afrin
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) –Russian warplanes targeted on Friday headquarters of a Turkish-backed Syrian National Army faction in the village of Kafr Janneh in the countryside of Afrin, north Aleppo.
The Russian warplanes hit the headquarters of Sultan Murad faction, a prominent faction of the SNA, that deploy in the villages of Mash’ala and Kafr Janneh, with four vacuum airstrikes, an exclusive source told North Press.
The missiles hit the headquarters causing massive destruction in the place, according to the source.
So far the number of the human losses has not been identified amidst a state of alert among the armed opposition factions near the targeted site, which is close to other military sites such as the command of the Military Police and other Turkish-backed factions.
The city of Afrin and the surrounding countryside have been under the control of the Turkish forces and the affiliated SNA factions since 2018.
The region has been witnessing security chaos including explosions, arrests and killings amidst the inability of those factions to settle the security there.
