Turkish forces continue to pound villages in Aleppo countryside

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) factions renewed on Thursday the shelling of villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The shelling caused no human losses.

The Turkish artillery targeted the villages of Herbel and Sheikh Issa in Shahba region in the northern countryside of Aleppo, a local source told North Press.

“Scores of shells hit the village of Smouqa and Shahba dam,” military sources said.

“The Turkish forces target the above mentioned villages from their military base in the towns of Mare’ and Kaljibrin south of Azaz causing no losses,” the source added.

Since early on Thursday, the villages of Smouqa, Umm al-Qora, Ibbin, Soghana, Aqiba, Kalota, al-Ziyara, vicinity of Tel Rifaat, Sheikh Issa, Kafr Antun, Tatemrash, Kashtaar, Kafr Naya, Deir Jamal, Shaala, Joba, Umm Hawsh, Shawargha, al-Hissya, and Tel al-Madiq have been under the shells of the Turkish forces.

The shelling caused material losses in a number of the uninhabited houses, and no human casualties were reported.
