SDF denies bombing area inside Turkey

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) refuted on Thursday the Turkish Defense Ministry’s allegations about targeting the Turkish Karkamish district by the SDF.

“We confirm that our forces have nothing to do with the attack on Karkamish,” the SDF media center said.

“Turkey creates these pretexts to attack northeast Syria,” it added.

“The Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition forces (SNA) intensively target villages in the countryside of Kobani, Ain Issa, Manbij and the northern countryside of Aleppo,” it said.

The SDF media center explained that the Turkish forces bombed 29 villages on the Syrian-Turkish border on the pretext of bombing Karkamish.

“This incident is a Turkish conspiracy and plan aimed at launching more attacks on the areas of northeast Syria,” it stated.
