47 Turkish shells hit Syria’s Manbij countryside in one day

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces bombed on Thursday several villages on the line separating the forces of the Manbij Military Council (MMC) and the Turkish-backed forces (SNA).

Several villages in the northwestern countryside of Manbij were bombed by the Turkish forces  stationed in the village of Sheikh Nasser, an informed source in the MMC told North Press.

The Turkish forces bombed the villages of the area with 47 mortar shells, the source added.

According to the source, 18 shells fell on the village of al-Yalanli, 18 on the village of al-Sayyada, and 11 shells targeted the villages of Qirt Weran and al-Dandania in the northwestern countryside of Manbij.

The bombardment caused material damage the civilians’ property, amidst a state of panic among the population.

On May 11, the SNA targeted the vicinity of Aoun al-Dadat village with medium weapons, wounding two civilians, according to the media center of the Manbij Military Council.
