Syrian authorities release another batch of detainees from Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Syrian authorities released a second batch of detainees, from Daraa, south Syria.

The Syrian authorities released 26 detainees, who were being held in the prisons of the security branches, and they had surrendered to the government forces following the reconciliation that took place in 2018, local sources told North Press.

The released were handed over to their families in the government complex building in the city of Daraa in the presence of a number of the government officials, led by the governor of Daraa, Louay Kharita.

This is the second batch released in one day, as 46 detainees from Daraa governorate were released earlier on Thursday.
