Two individuals killed in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Two individuals were killed on Thursday in two different shooting attacks by unknown assailants in the western countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.
One of the victims was a former member of the Syrian opposition factions.
Unidentified gunmen directly shot at the citizen, Faroq al-Bashandi in the town of Tel Shehab in the western countryside of Daraa, local sources told North Press.
Al-Bashandi’s body was found with a sheet of paper on saying “a thief, a drug dealer and a spoiler,” the sources added.
Al-Bashandi, who was a former member of the Syrian opposition factions, had his status settled in the summer of 2018, and he did not join any military formation after the settlement, according to the source.
In a similar incident, a civilian named Qusay Hussein al-Shahadat was killed.
Al-Shahadat was shot dead by unidentified gunmen late Thursday evening, a source close to Shehadat told North Press.
Al-Shahadat was transferred to the National Hospital in the city of Tafas in the western countryside of Daraa and died there, the source said.
Al-Shahadat was a civilian and did not join any military formation or security entities.
