SDF fighter shot dead in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, a fighter of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) lost his life for being shot by unknown attackers east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
“The unknown attackers, who were riding a motorcycle, shot at the 29-year-old Kheder al-Habbal, an SDF fighter, in centeral Abu Hamam town, 85 kilometers east Deir ez-Zor, killing him immediately,” a resident fof the town said.
“Al-Habbal was in a leave when he was targeted near his house,” he told North Press.
He noted that the attackers ran away after the incident.
The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor witnesses increasing killing incidents targeting SDF fighters and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria’s (AANES) employees, tribal dignitaries, and residents despite launching intensive security campaigns by SDF.
Yesterday, seven employees in the AANES lost their lives and four others were wounded in an attack by the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) members on the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The attack was said to be the most violent since the announcement of revenge campaign recently.
