Government forces, opposition factions clash in Syria’s Idlib , Aleppo

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) –  Mutual shelling renewed on Thursday between the Syrian government forces and the Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions in areas in the de-escalation zone in Idlib and Aleppo, northwest Syria.

With artillery and missiles, the government forces targeted the opposition’s sites in the villages and towns of Sfuhen, Fleifel, the vicinity of al-Bara and al-Fatira in Zawiya Mountain south of Idlib, a military source from the opposition told North Press.

“The government forces pound the school of Kafr Nouran in the western countryside of Aleppo with heavy artillery critically wounding one Turkish soldier, the source added.

“Al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations’ Room targeted the government positions in Base 46 in the western countryside of Aleppo with heavy artillery shells, other military sources of the opposition said.

Areas in the de-escalation zone in the northwest of the country daily witness exchange of bombardment between the Turkish-backed opposition factions and the government forces in tandem with Russian airstrikes targeting military points of the opposition.
