Turkish military continues to bomb villages in north of Syria’s Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and affiliated Syrian National Army (SNA), military wing of Syrian opposition, shelled last night villages in Aleppo northern countryside in northern Syria with heavy artillery.
The artillery shelling affected several villages in north of Aleppo, where Afrin IDPs have been taking shelter since 2018, without causing casualties, a local source said.
In March 2018, Turkish military and its affiliated SNA occupied the city of Afrin and its countryside following a two-month fierce battle with the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), displacing about 300,000 Kurdish civilians.
The source added that dozens of shells dropped on the area.
Yesterday, a Turkish drone shelled a military post of the government forces in the town of Tel Rifaat in north of Aleppo which injured two soldiers.
