Israeli airstrike kills, injures Syrian government soldiers in Damascus
Damascus, Syria (North Press) – Israeli airstrike killed four Syrian government soldiers and injured three on Wednesday in the outskirts of Syria’s capital, Damascus.
State-run news agency SANA quoted a military source as saying, “At about 12:41 a.m. on Wednesday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression with bursts of missiles from the direction of Tiberias Lake targeting some sites in the vicinity of Damascus.”
“Syrian air defenses intercepted the missiles and downed some of them,” the source said.
“Four soldiers were killed and three others were injured in the aggression,” the military source added.
On April 7, Israel bombarded some military posts in Damascus outskirts, killing two civilians.
In March,the government warned of the continuous Israeli attacks on Syria saying they “threaten international security and stability.”
