Russia escalates attacks on opposition fortifications in Syria’s Afrin
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Russian warplanes bombarded last night Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) sites in Afrin region, north Syria.
The bombardment came within the Russian military escalation against opposition-held areas in northwest Syria after Turkey closed its space in front of Russian aircrafts last Saturday.
Local media outlets reported no casualties.
The outlets said the bombardment was coincided with heavy hovering of Russian warplanes in the skies of Aleppo northern and western countryside.
