Turkish bombardment on Syria’s Aleppo countryside resumes

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, Turkish forces stationed in Mare’ town and southern Azaz in Syria’s northern city of Aleppo launched around 60 artillery shells on several villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo. 

Sources from inside the region said that the villages of Biloniya, Ayn Daqnah, Deir Jmal, the vicinity of Tel Rifaat and Sheikh Issa, Maraanaz, Malikiya and Shewargha were pounded by the Turkish shelling.

No casualties or material damage were reported, the source said.

Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition forces have been heavily shelling the northern countryside of Aleppo for the second consecutive day.

Yesterday, the village of Sheikh Issa and its vicinity were hit with 30 shells while the vicinity of Tel Rifaat was hit with scores of shells.
