Casualties reported in clashes in Syria’s Sere Kaniye
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Turkish-controlled city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northeast Syria, witnessed fierce clashes between a clan and an armed faction, resulted in casualties.
Fierce clashes with heavy weapons erupted between al-Qar’an clan and Turkish-backed Thaeroun faction erupted in the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), local sources told North Press.
The clashes resulted in the killing of four people from both sides and the injury of dozens, the critical cases were hospitalized to Turkey, the sources said.
The clashes are still going on intermittently amid a state of panic and horror among the residents.
The clashes came on the background of the arrest of two members of the al-Qar’an by the Military Police which caused a state of stress, according to the source.
The Turkish-controlled areas in north and northeast Syria witness insecurity and chaos, where clashes among the armed factions always erupt on disputes on looting, influence and smuggling, which often led to casualties.
