Former members of opposition killed in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Friday morning, residents of Tafas town in the western countryside of Daraa, south Syria, found bodies of two former members of the Syrian opposition factions who were shot dead and were thrown in a plain west of the city.
“Farmers found the bodies of the two young men Saif Asheq Salamat and Muhammad Ya’qoub al-Forqan a day after contact with was lost,” local sources told North Press.
The sources said the two young men were likely killed by unknown individuals without knowing the reasons for kidnapping or murder.
The two killed young men did not join any military or security entities after reconciling with the government in settlements in summer of 2018.
Yesterday, people of Jasim city in the northern countryside of Daraa found the young man, Tariq al-Halqi dead after being kidnapped by unknown assailants on Wednesday.
Despite the government forces’ complete control of Daraa and despite the reconciliation, the governorate witnesses almost daily killings of civilians and government soldiers and former opposition factions’ members.
