Turkish drone kills women in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – Three women lost their lives yesterday in a Turkish drone in Syria’s northern city of Kobani, the Women Coordination in the Euphrates Region said on Thursday.

On Wednesday, a Turkish drone targeted a vehicle in the southern countryside of Kobani killing three women, one of them was identified as Ronahi Muhammad.

Jihan Darwish, head of the Women Coordination, read a statement over the repeated Turkish assaults that target the residents.

The victim Ronahi Muhammed and two of her friends lost their lives in the attack, Darwish said.

“By targeting the people, Turkey aims to hold control over northeast Syria, implement its agendas, spread panic amongst the people, and control the people’s gains,” Darwish said in the statement.

Darwish added that the guarantor states, namely Russia and the USA, should assume responsibility for the Turkish attacks and end Turkey’s illegal and humanitarian practices towards the population of northeast Syria.

On January 8, Qara Mogh village, 20 km east of Kobani, was subjected to the Turkish assault. Six members of the same family were wounded, one of them was just four and his leg was amputated.

Turkey frequently uses drones to attack the regions of north and northeast Syria targeting civilians’ houses and vehicles leading to casualties and material damage.
