Russian aircraft bomb opposition factions’ sites in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Russian aircraft bombed military sites and fortifications of Turkish-backed opposition factions, south of Idlib, northwest Syria.
“A Russian warplane carried out two air raids on the opposition sites in the town of al-Bara in the Zawiya Mountain area, south of Idlib,” military sources told North Press.
“No information about casualties of the air raids, amid intense flight of Russian reconnaissance planes over the region,” the sources added.
In a related context, the de-escalation zone in Idlib and Aleppo, northwest Syria, witnessed exchange of shelling between the Syrian government forces and pro-Turkey opposition factions.
“The opposition factions’ sites in the villages and towns of Sufuhn, Fleifel, and the outskirts of the town of al-Fatira, located in the Zawiya Mountain area, were hit with heavy artillery by the government forces,” military sources in the National Liberation Front told North Press.
Similarly, the opposition factions’ sites and fortifications near the towns of Taqad and Kafr Noran in the western countryside of Aleppo, were hit with heavy artillery and missiles by the government forces,” the sources added.”
“The government forces’ positions in the 46th Regiment, west of Aleppo, were bombed by al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room targeted with heavy artillery,” according to the sources.
“Al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations bombed the military points of the government forces near the town of Dadikh, east of Idlib,” said the sources.
The de-escalation zone in the northwest of the country daily witness exchange of bombardment between the Turkish-backed opposition factions and the government forces.
