SDF denies shelling Jarablus as Turkey claims
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) denied shelling the city of Jarablus, saying that Turkish intelligence knew the perpetrator.
“ Media outlets affiliated with Turkish occupation mercenaries published false news claiming that a virtual artillery shelling by our forces targeting a vehicle in the occupied city of Jarablus resulted in the killing and wounding of several people, including Turkish mercenaries,” the SDF media center said.
“We confirm that our forces have not conducted any attack recently in the mentioned area,” it added.
“ Accusing us is an attempt to cover up the real actor that the Turkish occupation intelligence is hiding behind,” according to the SDF media center. “The posted footage and field investigations confirm that the attack was conducted by a drone that penetrated Syrian airspace, and that is what the Turkish occupation drones usually do,” it said.
